"Surviving Urban Disasters" - TV show on air
 

Les Stroud has a show on Discovery Science Channel called "Surviving Urban Disasters". It is on now, with repeats later tonight and this week.


He is dealing with a flood situation now, in a car, home, and office. He has made some interesting points we might learn from. One was cooking salmon with lemon juice. Another was making a torch with facial tissue, petroleum jelly, alcohol, and paper. He said it could last up to an hour.

I don't think there are many of us here who would ride out a hurricane or major flood, but it never hurts to consider the possiblities.
